Happy Halloween
I haven't blogged much this week,as its been so hetic i have come home for a few days so i am hoping to get lots of work done. I have been looking at trends in hair and make-up. There seems to be alot of metalic colours on the eyes, but mixed with black to make large smokey eyes in different colour, i think that would be good make up as it will look dramatic and stand out on the catwalk. To add to the smokey eyes, heavy eyeliner and large lashes are put on to create a focus on the eyes. On the lips metalic colours seem to carry on, to make them shiney and vibrant, the metalic colours are good as we would be able to pick a colour pallet and every model could have a different metalic on their eyes. Hair wise there seems to be alot of waves, big hair and quiffs. Althought to save time as hair can be quite time consuming, it might be best to ask all models to come with stright hair then each model to have 5 minutes spent to add a quiff or a few low slung curls, unless we can get more hair dressers in the for the day.

Sketchbook Madness
I spent most of last night working on my sketchbook for research and planning, it is gradually starting to get thicker although i am worried that i wont have enough images for my moodboard as i have found it quite hard to find images that represent what my ideas are. Today i am hoping to complete my moodboard and improve my knowledge of photoshop, as i know bits and peices but dont feel overly confident, with the software.

What a Week
I dont feel like i have stopped this week, with work everything. My student loan still hasnt come through so my credit card is taking a bashing. Went to London to the Graduate Fashion Show meeting it was really interesting to go and learn all the ins and outs of GFW, They discussed all the press, facts, awards etc. From this meeting i came away with new ideas for my project, like having awards at the Derby Show for Best collection etc. Also good ways to gain sponsorship for the Derby stan and also for the Derby Show. I also was able to see my old boss for lunch which is was really good as well. My sketchbooks are finally coming together, although i am finding it hard to find images for my research and Planning, although it is still lookin quite full. Gone through so much paper, i must of killed about 5 trees already and i have only just started my sketchbook. For the model search i will try and seek out models through modelling website which i have found www.net-models.co.uk and www.starnow.co.uk. I will also seak sponsorship for the model search to provide money, products for goodie bags etc.

Paper Overload...
What a day, i finally found the time to sit down and put all my imagesb in my sketchbook. I have so many ideas, its been hard trying to find the images that communicate my ideas. Apart from that so far so good. Decided on the logo etc for gladrags pr, yes its pink and quite girly but i like it. I am worried that my sketchbook will be too busy because i want to co ordinate the Derby Show and there are so many things to consider, so i am trying hard to keep it organised and clear.
Saw the devil wears prada last night and it put me in the mood to do this project even more, even though i have readthe book more then once the film was still really good. It also helped me think about themes that i want to put together for the show/after party, it got me thinking about words that have a thousand meanings like style, fashionista and glamour. i also like how theses can be turned into themes.

I really love this picture, i think this shows another good theme. This is a good illustration for Promotional purposes, tickets, posters, leaflets etc

Image Building
Spent today at the gym and buliding images for my sketchbook and moodboard. I spoke to fiona yesterday about my final project proposal and i feel positive and confident about what i am going to propose for the Derby show. I am going to contact the Business Liason Officer at Kedleston Road to found out where i need to start when it come to organising the Derby Show. I also came up with the name for my PR company Gladrags PR.

Getting Started
Today i can finally start to put together all my thoughts about the fashion show. I have wanted to be involved in the events co-ordinating since the 2nd year, and spending some of my year out at a PR agency i have lots of thoughts ad ideas that i would like to put into practice. I am going to spend today doing my sketchbook and pulling all my ideas together.
